AEI Music Online Music Portal Producer and Project Management

AEI was a major competitor to Muzak for business environment music. Our firm was hired to integrate all stakeholder channels into a single cohesive Online Subscription Delivery Portal. My role was in general oversight and product design - a combination of Project Management, User Experience and Marketing Integration. In this case I worked in tandem with a dedicated master project manager while designing the site structure, designing interfaces, testing human factors and usability, managing content, coordinating with database managers, presenting findings and options to stakeholders, and finally testing beta and content complete versions. This was the first phase of the project, with the second phase involving mostly licensing and artist contract issues that I chose not to be involved with.

Microsoft / Meridian Partners Joint Intranet Staffing Portals

A key Microsoft staffing agency assigned me to design a staffing administration portal with a triple purposed functionality. This would be based from a public access extranet recruiting and sign-up portal.

An additional crucial requirement was to perform as an on-campus secure reporting intranet portal with hours logging scheduling, project status and project assignment updates customized to each employee.

This included an individualized, self-help payroll and human resources content portal (with the individual's benefits summaries including holidays, time off status, payroll history, time sheet entry and expense reporting).

Finally, an additional management sub-portal served as a reporting tool from the Meridian Partners staffing agency directly to Microsoft management. This required that I design four different special project templates for each of the technology specialist groups to provide status reports (Developers, Content Specialists, Project Managers, Testing & Quality Assurance). My non-disclosure agreement prevents me from showing any concepts beyond this diagram.

TouchMarketing.com was conceived to be a complete Internet-based, e-Marketing solution enabling 1-to-1 Marketing for small to mid sized companies. The concept was to allow companies to manage critical aspects of the marketing process from creation to analysis on a monthly subscription basis.

Using supplied, proprietary templates, a customer would be able to choose and customize all components of a continuous marketing campaign cycle. Every possible collateral piece was included - from business cards, brochures, direct mail and catalogs to websites, prospect list merges and e-mail blast series.

Regular activity and performance reports were a key feature of the system through phone, direct mail and email fulfillment response. These were all accessed through the client dashboard front end.

Working directly with database specialists, developers and content specialists, I constructed this early architecture of the user flow and functionality. First phase usability testing was done through three metropolitan area email and phone surveys. Focus group card sorting was performed both in lab and at select business offices. Summary prospective user data was included in a series of Angel Investor presentations.
